Maternal Life Stress, Prenatal Inflammation, and the Developmental Origins of Child Temperament
2020 Dissertation Fellowship
Lucy's research integrates the areas of affective science and child development with a focus on how early experiences influence risk for mental health difficulties. Her project addresses gaps in our knowledge of the etiology of risk for psychopathology by elucidating the associations among mothers' life stress prior to conception and during pregnancy, prenatal proinflammatory cytokines, and negative affectivity in mothers' preschool-age children.
