Taisiya Tworek is a Predoctoral Fellow in Stanford's Department of Sociology. She is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan and received her Bachelor's of Science in Social Analysis & Research from Brown University. Broadly, she is passionate about addressing stratification, as her research interests include racial and socioeconomic inequality, as well as spatial and urban topics such as gentrification and segregation. Taisiya has conducted research on intergenerational class transmission, gentrification and activity space, the living patterns of young adults, historic neighborhood segregation patterns, and the coverage of women athletes by sports media broadcasters.
