Melanie's dissertation studies entrepreneurial spillovers across coworkers, focusing on what individuals with entrepreneurial experience can teach future entrepreneurs and how these lessons affect aggregate economic growth. Her broader research agenda connects patterns in firm dynamics, productivity, and earnings inequality. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
