John F. Sandy Smith
Sandy Smith is a corporate partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP representing equity funds and their portfolio companies, among other things. Sandy served as a Trustee of Stanford University and is the Founding Chair of the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences at Stanford University (IRiSS). He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). He is the Founding Chair of Odyssey Atlanta, a K-12 educational program. He serves as a Trustee of the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, is an Advisory Board member at the Carter Center and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. He also has served on the boards of Columbia Seminary, The Paideia School, Prevent Blindness Georgia, The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and The National Kidney Foundation of Georgia. Sandy was a member of the 2000 class of Leadership Atlanta.  Sandy received a B.A., with Honors, from Stanford University, an MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business of Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Duke Law School.
 
His personal interests include golf, music, fly fishing, architecture, and the outdoors.
