How Policy Information and Leader Cues Influence Attitudes on War
2024–25 Survey Lab Project
I examine the extent to which providing information about the strategic costs and benefits of a U.S. war to defend a third-party state from a strong rival moderates the effect of leader cues on the U.S. public's support for war. I also look at the effect of information and leader cues on affective polarization. The survey experiment uses a vignette about a potential U.S. war to defend Taiwan from a Chinese invasion.
