Brad Larsen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Stanford University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from MIT in 2013 after having completed his BA in Economics and BS in Mathematics at Brigham Young University. Prior to joining Stanford, he spent a year as a research scientist at eBay Research Labs. His research focuses on empirical applied microeconomics and data methods. He studies various mechanisms and features of pricing, including bargaining, auctions, and price discrimination in both online and offline markets. His research also examines the role and effects of occupational licensing laws.
