Event Sponsor
Stanford Institute for Research in the Social Sciences & Stanford Sociology Department

Schedule Change

The schedule circulated at the beginning of the quarter indicated we would read and discuss excerpts of Padgett & Powell, 2012. We have replaced that event today with a SIENA Hack Session. There will be no formal presentation, but anyone interested in longitudinal network analysis is welcome to attend. Lunch will be provided.

Introducing SIENA

SIENA is a tool for longitudinal network analysis and complements ERGM, a model for cross-sectional network analysis. SIENA assumes an actor-oriented view of tie formation and can be used to model the dynamics of networks and behavior. SIENA was developed by Tom Snijders et. al.
