Grants up to $50K from the U.S. Department of Labor

IRiSS received the following call for proposals from the U.S. Department of Labor that may be of interest to some faculty, post doctoral scholars, and graduate students.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Chief Evaluation Office (CEO), has announced a competition to fund qualified researchers to conduct independent research during 2016-17, culminating in a high-quality research working paper relevant to the Department’s policymaking.
 
 Grants will be awarded in the range of $10,000–$50,000 for projects that contribute to the Department’s mission of fostering, promoting, and developing the well-being of wage earners, retirees, and job seekers.
 
The Department encourages proposals from a variety of social science and cognitive disciplines, including economics, public policy, public administration, sociology, or related field. The selection committee also encourages proposals representing a variety of methodologies, quantitative and qualitative alike.
 
Please note that the eligibility requirement for this year's program has been changed, and Ph.D. is not required for this year's application.
